Accessibility Statement

Accessibility is not an afterthought for accessibility42 – it is the starting point. We strive to make this website accessible in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA and the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG).

Conformance status

This website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Largely conformant" means that some content may not yet be fully accessible.

Measures implemented:

• semantic HTML with clear heading hierarchies and landmark regions (header, main, nav, footer)
• a "skip to main content" link at the top of every page
• clearly visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
• sufficient colour contrast (target: at least 4.5:1 for text)
• support for prefers-reduced-motion
• responsive layout that remains usable up to 400 % zoom
• correctly declared page language (lang attribute, DE/EN)
